Have you noticed a certain buzz around here lately? It’s not just the overwhelming excitement about the Sail Barge. Last August we did some wishlisting with respect to the renewed Vintage Collection, and Hasbro’s recent announcements have taken a big bite out of one of our lists. Hit the jump for the details. We’ve been keeping reasonably close track of the Sail Barge backer count at least once per day since it started. Take a look to see how the campaign is doing. And before you click through, be prepared. You will likely want to weep, but we’ll then need you to pick yourself up by your bootstraps and get to work. If you don’t have any bootstraps, use anything to get up. A spatula, a lava lamp, a ballpeen hammer. Whatever works. Just get up and do something about this!

In March of 2015, Marvel Comics, having reacquired the license, began publishing Star Wars comics under their banner for the first time since 1986. The launch title was an ongoing series titled simply Star Wars. The first six issues of the series, written by Jason Aaron with art by John Cassaday, were collected in a trade paperback called Star Wars Book I: Skywalker Strikes.

Sometimes an article buries the lead. Yesterday’s StarWars.com HasLab article had the opposite problem. The lead, that the Sail Barge was now available in Canada, buried the rest of the article. We’ve made it to Episode 7. Not to be confused with Episode VII. The droids continue their wacky adventures with Jann and Jess against “The Pirates of Tarnoonga.” I once spent a weekend in Tarnoonga. Or maybe it was Raleigh. I get those two confused.
